# RINGLINE changelog
Live build: [spencerbench-portal.down.lol/halo1-mp-grok47](https://spencerbench-portal.down.lol/halo1-mp-grok47/)
This is an unofficial, original-asset lobby shooter. It does not include retail game files.
## 0.1.1 — 2026-09-17
Published, and the fixes that publishing needed.
- The client resolves the wasm bundle, the room list, the match socket and the invite link against the page's own directory, so the site can live under a path prefix behind a proxy.
- `RINGLINE_BIND` keeps the process on the loopback address when a proxy publishes it, and `RINGLINE_TRUST_PROXY` reads the player's address from `X-Forwarded-For` so the per-address join limit still counts people rather than the proxy.
- A backend that fails after taking the canvas no longer strands the next one, so the WebGL fallback works on machines where WebGPU is present but unusable.
- An abandoned match leaves the room list 45 seconds after its last player does. Reloading inside that window puts you back in it.
## 0.1.0 — 2026-09-15
First hosted lobby.
- One process serves the site and the match socket on port 40147. Open the URL, pick a callsign, and you are in.
- The public room fills with bots and starts itself. Create a room and share `/?room=CODE` for a private lobby. No accounts.
- Basin, Stack, and Conduit. Slayer, Team Slayer, Capture the Flag, Oddball, and King of the Hill.
- Assault rifle, pistol, shotgun, sniper rifle, plasma pistol, plasma rifle, needler, and rocket launcher. Frag and plasma grenades. Melee, including a backsmack.
- Shields that pause and then refill, a separate health pool, overshield, camouflage, and a 25 meter motion tracker.
- A rover with a gunner seat and a skiff on Basin. Press E to board. Space boosts the skiff.
- WebGPU, with a WebGL2 fallback. Original low-poly maps and synthesized sound.
- Touch controls for a phone. Turn it sideways.
- Publish with `bash scripts/bundle.sh`, or `docker compose up --build`. The native archive and `dist/ringline-source.tar.gz` are the uploadable bundles.
Vehicle driving is decided on the server, so a slow link can feel a step behind. The audio is synthesized. This is not a retail game port.
